Scope of Work

  • Identify, verify, and document industrial replacement parts and components based on photos, nameplates, and manufacturer or distributor catalogs, ensuring accurate fitment and application details.
  • Interpret production patterns, markers, and cutting-room plans for apparel or industrial fabrication, verifying layout efficiency and technical correctness.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews on annotated image batches, adjudicating label accuracy against established project ontologies and annotation guidelines.
  • Produce clear, defensible rationales for decisions and recommendations, capturing expert thought processes for model training purposes.
  • Review and refine real-world documents, photos, patterns, or annotation data, delivering outputs at the standard expected from a senior practitioner in your field.
  • Collaborate remotely with project coordinators, submitting deliverables through digital platforms within agreed project timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following domains: mechanical technical writing, industrial parts/application analysis, production pattern planning, or computer vision annotation quality assurance.
  • Exceptional proficiency with interpreting engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation, or demonstrated expertise with parts identification and catalog research.
  • Strong analytical, visual, and spatial reasoning abilities, particularly in pattern interpretation or assembly process documentation.
  • Proven track record of producing clear, structured, and accurate records, reports, or manuals to industry standards.
  • Experience adjudicating or reviewing work within complex ontologies or quality control environments.
  • Comfort working autonomously and communicating reasoning in written form for project documentation purposes.
  • Familiarity with digital collaboration platforms and remote project participation is a plus.
